Recordings of WOPM2024 talks

WOPM2024 is over, we thank all attendees. Recordings of talks will become available at the end of September.

We are excited for WOPM to begin on Saturday, August 24th: WOPM2024 Program WOPM2024 Book of abstracts

Location is meeting room C2.3 in the ICC.

We will be able to provide a limited virtual attendance to WOPM free of charge. We prefer in-person attendance, but we are aware that not everyone could make the trip to Sydney. We cannot guarantee the quality of virtual attendance, but we will do our best:

We have put together a Tutorial on Optically Pumped Magnetometers for Magnetoencephalography for Sunday afternoon, August 25th, at WOPM.

Please join us for a series of talks that provide an overview of optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) and how they can be used for magnetoencephalography (MEG). The target audience is MEG researchers who are thinking about using OPMs, are new to OPMs, or are now using OPMs but would like to gain more in-depth knowledge. Tutorial talks will be given on the physics of OPMs and how they differ from SQUIDs in ways that are relevant to MEG, OPM parameters critical to MEG performance, how to set up your experiment for success, and how to analyze your OPM data.

The tutorial session will start at 2:30 PM on Sunday August 25th and will last approximately 3 hours. This session will be located in the same room as WOPM and is free to people that have registered for WOPM or Biomag.

More information about the WOPM venue can be found at BIOMAG 2024.

04/10/2024 – We are pleased to announce this year’s Workshop on Optically Pumped Magnetometers (WOPM-2024), which will be held as a satellite to Biomag 2024 (https://www.biomag2024.org/cms/) in Sydney, Australia. WOPM-2024 will be on Saturday and Sunday, August 24th and 25th (plan on a Friday arrival in Sydney).

We solicit submission of abstracts for both oral and poster presentations for WOPM. The submission deadline for WOPM-2024 will be Monday the 20th May. The abstract submission will be through http://opm-workshop.org/ and will be available shortly. Note that registration for WOPM will be through the Biomag website, but WOPM registration is not yet an option. We will send an announcement when WOPM registration is available.

WOPM seeks to cover sensor development and technology as well as applications (with an emphasis on biomagnetism when WOPM is adjacent to Biomag). Additionally, there are symposia, oral presentations, and poster presentations on OPMs planned at Biomag, optimizing the synergies between the two meetings, and we encourage the WOPM community to submit relevant contributions to Biomag as well.
